Michael Jackson’s Longtime Fashion Designer Reveals Singer’s Secrets Of Style

From actress Kate Winslet becoming the new face of St. John Knits, to Louis Vuitton summoning the legacy of Muhammad Ali as part of its Core Values campaign, top designers understand the power of the celebrity endorsement. Today, Rodeo Drive Resale, premier retailer of luxury designers, highlights a few famous faces and their past, present and future impact on popular fashion.

At the peak of his career, there was arguably no greater style tastemaker than Michael Jackson within the world of entertainment; years after his death, his influence on popular music and fashion remains.

Costume designer Michael Bush, who, alongside late partner Dennis Tompkins, helped craft several of Jackson's signature looks, said the star symbolized everything that was right about popular fashion.

"When you worked with him, you couldn't wait to get there and you didn't want to leave when you got done," Bush told the Associated Press. "It was hard to imagine anyone that projected fashion and style any better."

Unlike many celebrities who readily enjoy the spoils of free designer clothing in exchange for red carpet promotion, Bush said Michael opted for a style that influenced the influential. His plan worked: Even today, stars such as Kanye West, Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga have donned outfits reminiscent of the music icon's elaborate pieces. Fashion house Balmain has released military-style jackets that could have been pulled straight from the late singer's closet, with Christophe Decarnin, former designer of Balmain, noting Jackson's style as a source of inspiration.

"Michael's concept was, 'I want the fashion designers in the world, the big conglomerates, I want them to copy me. I don't want to wear what's out there. I want to push my individuality, and being that my music is me, my look should be me,'" Bush said.

Bush explores his work with Jackson and shares colorful photos of his legendary outfits in the new book, "The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson."

While Jackson's larger-than-life wardrobe was a masterfully planned trek toward fashion history, Kate Hudson recently revealed her less ambitious approach toward clothing. The 33-year-old actress, set to return as the face of Ann Taylor fall 2012, admitted to being somewhat of a fashion flowerchild.

"I definitely have more of an easy style," Hudson said in her interview in which she discussed her carefree look. "I hate the word bohemian, but it sort of is."

Hudson, daughter of Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn, said despite an unconventional approach to fashion, she owns an impressive collection of pieces from high-end designers, one she hopes to keep in the family.

"I archive a lot of my pieces — from when Stella (McCartney) was at Chloe and Tom Ford at Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci," she said. "My mom never kept her clothes. She was big into (Azzedine) Alaia clothes and she didn't keep them! She also had Ossie Clark dresses from the '70s, and I never got to wear them, so I decided when and if I have a little girl in my life, maybe she'll be into them and want to go into my closet someday."

Celebrity influence on fashion is hardly limited to the unveiling of next season's clothing line or the arena theater concert women's coats stage. Musicians and cinema stars can unwittingly influence how fashion lovers spend their money by simply living their "normal" lives. For example, actress Katie Holmes has seen Holmes & Yang, her upscale line of women's fashion, fly off of shelves in the wake of her split from Tom Cruise.

Although it has been available at Barneys New York for several years, Holmes & Yang is expected to be a top draw next month during New York Fashion Week.

"Every editor will be at the spring 2013 Holmes & Yang showing this September," Emmy Award-winning stylist told David Zyla FOX411's Pop Tarts column.

Holmes told the New York Times her fashion line was specifically designed for women on the move.

"We know that women are on the go and do a lot of different sorts of things all in one day. Hopefully, [Holmes & Yang] helps to provide them with some confidence in attacking all those different roles."

Gildan G200 6.1 oz. Ultra? Cotton T-Shirt, regularly priced at $6.24 is now on sale for $5.30 with no minimum from 8/31/12 thru 9/07 at Crooked Brook.

The G200 is made of 6.1 oz.,100% preshrunk cotton with a seamless collar, double-needle stitching throughout and taped shoulder-to-shoulder.

The 6.1 ounce G200 is more substantial than a typical 5 ounce T-Shirt. It is available in 62 colors including Ladies', Youth and pocketed options. The Gildan series of 6.1 ounce fabric styles includes 13 various T-shirt silhouettes.

Sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL

About T-Shirts

The t-shirt evolved from undergarments used in the 19th century, through cutting the one-piece "union suit" underwear into separate top and bottom garments, with the top long enough to tuck under the waistband of the bottoms. By the Great Depression, the t-shirt was often the default garment to be worn when doing farm or ranch chores, as well as other times when modesty called for a torso covering but conditions called for lightweight fabrics.

T-shirts, with and without buttons, were adopted by miners and stevedores during the late 19th century as a convenient covering for hot environments.

T-shirts, as a slip-on garment without buttons, originally became popular in the United States when they were issued by the U.S. Navy during or following the Spanish American War. These were a crew-necked, short-sleeved, white cotton undershirt to be worn under a uniform. It became common for sailors and Marines in work parties, the early submarines, and tropical climates to remove their uniform "jacket", wearing (and soiling) only the undershirt.

Named the t-shirt due to the shape of the garment's outline, it soon became popular as a bottom layer of clothing for workers in various industries, including agriculture. The t-shirt was easily fitted, easily cleaned, were made in various colors and patterns and inexpensive, and for this reason it became the shirt of choice for young boys.

Basic t-shirts are staples in the promotional products industry and it is important that vendors understand their client's budget and needs right from the start. A vendor's presentation should always include women's jackets at least three levels of basic T-shirts so customers can see and feel the differences. 50/50 T-shirts are a great value; their low price and durability from the blend of cotton and polyester make them a customer favorite. However, 100% cotton t-shirts offer the softness and comfort many customers want for their promotional pieces. When looking for a substantial and ultra soft t-shirt, 100% ringspun cotton t-shirts are the way to go.

Although the most popular method of printing t-shirts is screen printing, Crooked Brook t-shirts are printed using Direct To Garment Printing (DTG) which is the process of using inkjet printers to print an image directly onto t-shirts without the use of screens like with screen printing, which requires a lot of setup e.g., creating screens for each color. In addition, DTG printing uses eco-friendly, water soluble ink, unlike some screen printing methods that layer Plastisol (a suspension of PVC particles in a plasticizer) on top of the t-shirt. The only requirement for DTG printing is for the image to be high resolution, resulting in photograph quality printing with no setup fee or minimums for custom t-shirts.

Skygirls: A Photographic History of the Airline Stewardess

"Skygirls" is a large format, hard cover, photos-and-text tribute to the lives, careers and legacy of the women who once were a hugely admired and envied part of air travel, in the days before civil rights legislation and important changes in societal standards ended an era of what many will frankly admit was one of the most sexist careers a young woman could pursue.

Yet pursue it they did, despite low pay, long hours and leering passengers. Just as boys wanted to become cops and firemen, teenage girls dreamed of a career in the sky: travel, adventure, handsome pilots and marriageable passengers were only some of the attractions of the airline business. Stiff physical standards, a prohibition against marriage and unspoken but unconscionable demands that the women working the cabin be somewhere between flirty and available were the downside. "They were America's Vestal Virgins," said one airline executive.

Featuring more than 250 color and black-and-white photographs documenting the early days of airline travel (when stewardesses had to be registered nurses) as well as the glory days of the trans-ocean flying boats and the first Postwar intercontinental luxury airliners, the book also follows both American and foreign stewardesses through the jet-setting "Coffee, Tea or Me?" days of the Swinging Sixties and hedonistic Seventies.

The job necessarily became as homogenized as its new title―"flight attendant"―but even today, there are foreign carriers who operate far from the enlightened social standards that have so changed the career, for better or worse, in the U. S. and Europe. The book visits some of the mammoth double-deck Airbus 380s and long-range versions of t women's jackets he Boeing 747 that still carry what can only be called stewardesses, cut from the classic cloth of femininity plus a frank flavoring of come-hither allure.

Authors Bruce McAllister and Stephan Wilkinson are both commercial-licensed pilots with over 70 years of flying and 8,000 hours of flight time logged between them, both of them holding instrument and multi-engine ratings. AMARILLO: An Electrifying Multimedia Theater Production About Immigration by Teatro Linea de Sombra -- Mexico’s Premier Experimental Theater Company October 18–20

The Latino International Theater Festival of New York (LITF/NY) and TeatroStageFest present Amarillo, a breathtaking, cutting-edge multimedia theater production by internationally-acclaimed experimental Mexican theater company Teatro Línea de Sombra October 18–20 at Baruch Performing Arts Center in Manhattan.

In the hard-hitting Amarillo, which director Jorge A. Vargas calls "physical, visual theater," film, dance, narrative, music, and evocative props create a powerful, harrowing multi-layered tale of immigration from Mexico to the United States.

The gripping production embodies the ongoing human drama taking place every day at the U.S. southern border. A man departs for the U.S.-Mexican border and vanishes. Amarillo, Texas, is the destination he never reaches. In the distance, a woman yearns for his return and reconstructs his probable journey. The performance unfolds in a sea of displaced objects – tennis shoes, water jugs, a backpack with clothes - the migrants' survival kit. As the performers travel imagined landscapes of both geography and cultural identity, the absent man comes to symbolize the thousands of disillusioned immigrants who have suffered a similar fate. Amarillo, a provocative and stimulating work, touches on the complex nature of individual and national identity in a time of exodus—both for those who leave, and those who are left behind. The NY performances of Amarillo mark the start of the national tour of Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America to NY, NJ, DC, and the State of Washington, funded by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and Robert Sterling Clark Foundation.

Jaime Chabaud of Mexico's Milenio said, "Amarillo can't be classified. It is solid as rock, heartrending scenic poetry, brutal and beautiful."
Performed in Spanish with English super-titles. At Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexington Avenue, Manhattan at 8pm October 18-20. Tickets $30. Students and Seniors $15. Watch the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQngfvy3uow&feature=player_embedded

Teatro Línea de Sombra was founded in 1993 by Jorge A. Vargas, one of Mexico's most prominent contemporary directors. Under his direction, and through a process of collaboration with the actors, Teatro Línea de Sombra has emerged as one of the leading Mexican touring ensembles and has received international acclaim for its distinctive theatrical and visual productions that combine movement, projection, original scores and other forms of mixed media.

Haunted Lighthouses - Presque Isle Lighthouse, Michigan

Located on the land protruding from the eastern shore of Lake Huron in Michigan, you'll find the Presque Isle Lighthouse. The name Presque Isle comes from the French term that means "almost an island." Congress appropriated $7,000 to fund the construction of the lighthouse in 1838 and construction started shortly thereafter. The lighthouse was completed in 1840.

The original Presque Isle Lighthouse tower stood 30 feet high with four foot thick walls at the base. Inside was a hand-cut stone stairway that spiraled around the interi women's jackets or wall of the tower up to the lantern. About 30 feet from the lighthouse a small detached single story lightkeeper's residence was built. The light was lit for the first time in September of 1840 when the first keeper moved in.

By 1866, the keeper's dwelling was in such poor condition that nothing short of a complete rebuild would make the structure liveable again. The owner requested that money be made available for the rennovation of the building and Congress approved the requested appropriation on March 2, 1867.

As the construction was about to begin, the Lighthouse Board changed its direction. Due to the height of the standing lighthouse tower, it was only functional to light the harbor. It was decided that instead of refurbishing the standing buildings they would construct a larger light at the tip of the peninsula about a mile north of the original, along with two range lights to help light the harbor. These new lights would render the current light virtually obsolete and the planned rennovation was cancelled.

The new lighthouse was completed in 1871 and the lightkeeper moved with his family to the new location. The new light was lit on June 1, 1871 and the lens and lantern from the original light were removed and shipped off to be used elsewhere. After the lantern was removed, the old tower was left uncapped and the windows and doors were boarded-up. The buildings stood empty and in disrepair for 26 years.

Finally, in 1897 the lighthouse and surrounding property were sold at public auction. Once again, the buildings sat in disrepair for years, being used mainly as a picnic area for guests of a nearby hotel.

When the property was purchased again in the 1930's, the new owners rebuilt the light keeper's dwelling in the style of an old English cottage and used it for a summer home. In the 1940's, vacationers started asking for tours of the old light station and the owner realized that converting the property into a museum might make him some money. The old tower was refurbished, washed-out cement was replaced between the stones, and a fresh coat of white paint was applied.

The old cottage was furnished with mid-nineteenth century period items and maritime artifacts were displayed in the cottage as well as on the grounds. The station finally got electricity in 1965, and the light was reactivated in the tower. The Coast Guard wouldn't allow it to be used as an official lighthouse, however, so the old light was again deactivated.

In 1977, a retired couple, George and Lorraine Parris took over the property as live-in tour guides and custodians. George was a personable man who enjoyed his job at the lighthouse and loved greeting the visitors to the lighthouse, especially the children. He enjoyed taking the visitors to the lighthouse on a tour of the buildings and grounds and shared stories of the lives of the lightkeepers and their families. He also liked to play harmless pranks on visitors by blowing the foghorn just to make sure everyone was paying attention. The loud, unexpected sound gave everyone a start. Sadly, George died of a massive heart attack on January 2, 1992.

Lorraine stayed on and continued their work at the tower. One night on her way back to the light station, she saw a light shining in the old lighthouse. Knowing full well that this was impossible since George had disconnected the electricity to the tower years before, she was a bit frazzled.

The Coast Guard had said it was illegal to display a light in the old tower because mariners might confuse it with the New Presque Lighthouse. To ensure that no accidental lighting would occur, the Coast Guard had actually removed the gears so the lens could no longer rotate. It was impossible to come up with a reasonable explanation for why the light was there.

Soon other people began reporting the light in the old tower. National Guard pilots have reported seeing it when they flew night missions over the peninsula. There have also been reports that George's light guiding people to safety on dark, stormy, foggy nights. To this day, the light still comes on at dusk and goes off at daylight. The U.S. Coast Guard has classified it as n "unidentified" light.

In July 1992, a little girl reported seeing a man at the top of the stairs leading to the lantern room. The little girl said he was a tall man with white hair, a beard, and was wearing glasses. When she was shown a picture of George, she said that was the man she saw in the tower but he was "brighter white" when she saw him. Another story, possibly a different version of the same story, reports that a little girl touring the lighthouse with her family climbed to the top of the tower and came back down giggling. She said she had been talking to the man in the tower.

The lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Sites in 1973. The area was incorporated into the State Park by the State of Michigan and donated to the Township in 1995. The Township Historical Society continues to operate the lighthouse as a museum open seven days a week from May through October.

Sometimes referred to as the American Feral Horse, the Mustang breed is found wild in the western United States. Mustang is from a Spanish word, "mesteno" which means "wild" or "Stray". Mustangs were originally Spanish horses, but over the years and due to their roaming qualities, they have now become a mix of several breeds. European settlers brought their own horses into the west; Indian raids and freed wild stallions tore down domestic fences and joined the tamed horses; and Indians captured horses between tribes and bartered which contributed to the distribution of Mustang horses and mix of breeding.

The United States government purchased 150 horses from Germany every year for 10 years between the 1800's and 1900's. The East Friesian horse was a heavy warmblood that could pull heavy wagons and artillery- but some escaped and their blood was mixed with the Wild Mustangs of the west.

The herds of Mustangs started to cause problems when the western United states became settled and the land was needed for cattle to graze. Some mustangs were shot to the point that the population was cut in half by 1926. A Wild Free Roaming Horse and Burro Act was passed by Congress in 1971 that helps protect these horses. The population of Mustangs grew again, until they were too numerous once again. The Adopt-a-Horse program in 1973 began in Montana to help distribute excess Mustangs in a humane way. Individuals can adopt a horse for $125 provided they meet certain requirements. The government actually owns the adopted horses for a year after adoptions, until a veterinarian statement is produced to show the horse is under good care.

Most Mustang horses are warmbloods, and the coat colors can be any colors found on horses. Some still exhibit Spanish characteristics despite that blood being very diluted in the breed.

*NATIONAL SHOW HORSE*

A registry called The National Show Horse Registry was created in order to meet the need within the equine industry for athletic horses with beauty that could be shown in the ring.

The breed has the refinement and stamina of the typical Arabian horse, and a high-stepping movement like the American Saddlebred. In 1981, the National Show Horse breed was born. The registry has taken every possible step to be sure that a wide variety of combinations of the Arabian and American Saddlebred bloodlines produce a high quality horse.

New concepts and horse shows have been developed in which to show these fantastic horses, and a high prize money system encourages spectators and exhibitors to participate.

*NEW FOREST PONY*

The New Forest Pony is named for and was originated from a forest located in southern England. Of the mountain and moorland ponies in the British Isles, the New Forest Pony is the most recognized breed. They are known for their strength, willing to please temperaments, intelligence and versatility.

The size of New Forest Ponies are usually between 12 and 14 hands. They are often brown, bay and gray colored, although some chestnuts, blacks and roans can be seen. The registry allows a few white markings on legs and head.

Well bred New Forest Ponies have a free and straight movement, strong quarters, body debth and be a good riding horse. Their versatility allows them ability to participate in Pony Club, Dressage and Polo-Driving, as well as gymkhana and jumping. Many New Forest Ponies are used for training to carry handicap riders.

New Forest Ponies are extremely gentle and they are often used for children's horses. They can carry light weight adults as well, and are an ideal driving pony.

Solar How To: Constructing a Solar Water Heating Panel Part III

For any of you interested in lowering your utility bill. Here is a numerical, step-by-step guide to constructing a solar water heating panel. The materials are cheap and easy to come by:

1. Constructing the solar water heating panel frame and tray requires the use of the cedar boards, drill and circular saw. Construct a wooden frame that measures 1500 mm by 900 m by 80 mm. The corner joints are an important aspect of frame construction. Make sure to use a corner joint technique that allows for stability and durability. Seal with wood glue.

2. Once the initial frame has been constructed, drill two holes measuring 11 mm in both sides of the frame. The holes should be plac women's coats ed 2 inches from the top and bottom of the frame. This allows the copper tubing to run through the frame.

3. Measure the newly constructed frame and cut a sheet from the plywood that fits those measurements exactly. Nail this sheet onto the back of the frame. Seal with wood glue.

4. Use a wood finish to coat the frame and backing sheet to ensure durability. Allow to dry fully before proceeding.

5. Next create the absorber plate. Clean the aluminum sheet on both sides to eliminate any possible oil or dirt residue it may have collected. Using fine sandpaper or steel wool, etch into the shiny side of the aluminum sheet.

6. Apply the spray primer to the now etched side of the aluminum sheet. Allow to dry and then spray it with the black matte finish paint. The paint will dry quickly, but it is best to let it sit overnight so it can harden fully.

7. Bend the copper tubing into a cylindrical shape. This can be achieved by bending the tubing slowly around the base of a bottle. This step should be done slowly, so the tubing is not nicked in the process. Spray the entire outside of the newly constructed cylinder with black matte paint and allow it to dry. The cylinder should have enough tubing left on each end to be threaded into the frame when installed.

8. Once the paint on the copper tube has dried, place the tube onto the black side of the aluminum sheet. Trace with chalk and mark points where holes can be drilled into the sheeting to secure the copper tubing. Remove the copper tube and drill holes wide enough to fit a heavy duty wire through. Replace the copper tube and secure it to the black side of the aluminum sheet by winding a single piece of heavy duty wire through the holes. Make the wire as tight as possible, as the copper tube needs to fit snuggly against the sheeting.

9. Lay the 3-inch thick fiber glass wool into the bottom of the wooden frame. Be sure the entire surface is covered with the fiber glass wool, and then place aluminum foil, shiny side up, on top of the fiber glass wool.

10. Lay the aluminum sheet with the attached copper tubing on top of the aluminum foil and fiber glass wool. The aluminum sheeting can be sealed into place by screwing strips of wood beading to the sides of the frame. Be sure to thread the copper tubing through the holes previously drilled on the side of the frame. Re-spray the entire inside structure with black paint to cover any discrepancies and allow it to dry.

11. Place the glass sheet in the tray over the aluminum sheeting. There should be no more than a half-inch gap between the copper tubing and the glass. A large gap will cause heating inefficiencies. Seal the glass into place using another strip of wood beading and wood glue. Seal the entire structure with a multi-purpose sealant.

The step-by-step directions can be used by a homeowner or renter in the construction of a solar water heating panel. These panels are used as both an alternative energy source and a cost-saving device. While solar power can be expensive initially, solar power will pay for itself in the long run. Solar water heating panels are an example of how a homeowner or renter can engage in saving money by spending some time on a do-it-yourself project.

The Art of Curb Appeal and How It Can Help Sell Your Home

You have painstakingly maintained the interior of your Atlanta home, and it sure does show. But what if the outside of your home has been neglected in the process?

Selling your Atlanta home is often a fine art, and luring buyers into your home is the first part of the process. Curb appeal can – and often does – affect how well a home will sell, so tending to your home's exterior should be in the forefront of your mind when selling your home.

The good news is that many of things you can do to spruce up your Atlanta's home exterior are fairly inexpensive.

The following tips can guide you when improving your home's curb appeal:

? Stand at the front curb and examine your home. Is the paint peeling?? Is the address sign visible and attractive? Are there low-hanging tree branches blocking the home? Viewing your home from the curb is the easiest way to allow you to see your home from potential buyers' eyes.

? A good place to start is your lawn. Pull weeds, seed bare spots and trim the edges, near the driveway and walkway.

? Pay attention to your plant and flower beds by pulling weeds, trimming back plants and shrubbery and laying down a layer of mulch. You may also want to consider adding more plants or colorful flowers to further add interest to your front yard.

? Choose easy-care, native plants for your plant beds, as these often require less water and less maintenance, and will be appreciated by potential buyers.

? Consider painting your home's trim and shutters if they look worn. A fresh coat of paint can do wonders for a home's curb appeal.

? Replace your mailbox, light post, address sign or porch light to instantly update the area.

? Consider painting your front door and installing new hardware. A beautiful front door will instantly catch the attention of potential buyers. If it is in your budget, you may also want to consider women's coats purchasing a new front door, as well.

? Make sure the handrail to your front steps is secure and attractive. Also check for uneven concrete or asphalt on your driveway, steps, walkway or front porch that could pose as a tripping hazard for visitors.

? Patch any cracks in your asphalt and have uneven concrete repaired by a qualified concrete contractor.

? Trim back any overhanging branches from the front of your home, if necessary. Consider calling in a tree service to handle this if you have several trees to be trimmed.

? Add a splash of color to your porch by placing several pots of colorful annuals near the front door. A wreath on the door also immediately adds a feeling of hominess to this area.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?Make it a point to maintain your home's exterior on a frequent basis, as potential buyers could be viewing your home at any time.

You hard work and effort will surely pay off in the form of better offers and more visitors!

Things You Should Remember In Know While Trailing the Deer

Some time a hunter even can get lost on daylight hunting. You can get lost in the woods where you are not familiar with. It is very important for a hunter that he must know where he is when he go for hunting.

A friend and I were cruising a piece of timber when we jumped two deer. It was out of season, but I wanted to know where the deer would go, so we followed them for a short distance. I soon lost the track and, walking to the left, saw an old track. As soon as I saw that it was not the track which I was looking for, I walked in the direction I was facing instead of turning back as I should have done. Before I had gone a hundred feet, I saw to my left a disturbed place on the ground. When I walked to it there were the tracks that I was looking for, and a clear print of my own foot beside it. I felt sheepish when I looked at my grinning companion who told me just what I had done. I had become completely turned around in an area no larger than a city lot, and this on a day with a bright sun shining overhead.

Another time I was hunting alone in a piece of woods which was about two miles wide-east and west-and five or six miles long. This woodland was surrounded by town roads. I had hunted the west half of this area and was quite familiar with it, but knew little about the east half or the road which bounded that side. It was early in the season and I had little hope of bagging a deer, but wanted to get an idea of their feeding grounds and where the largest herd as staying. My plan was to follow a woodroad to an abandoned woodchopper's camp which was about halfway through the woods, turn left and goes about a half-mile to the north to another wood road which I could follow back to the point where the car was located.

I found the camp without seeing anything of interest, then walked along, checking game trails for signs of recent use. When I came to the town road, I turned left again, which should have taken me back to my car. I walked along this road for a time and then it dawned on me that there should be an open field on my right where there was nothing but woods. The sky was over- cast, but I had my compass pinned to my coat and I glanced at it to check directions to assure myself that everything was right. I had to shake the compass and let it settle before I could believe that I was headed north when I should have been traveling south. Usually I am no dumber than many other hunters, but it took me a good ten minutes to figure out where I was and how I came women's coats to be there. I was on the east road when I should have been on the west one and somehow I had traveled all the way through the woods.

My mental compass wouldn't adjust itself so, in order to be safe as well as to have easier walking, I returned to the place where I had left the woods and followed the wood road back into the woods in a westerly direction. This road ended in a small chopping. Using my compass, I crossed this chopping and another cutting, following a road out of the latter, and came to a camp.

This camp was unfamiliar to me until I looked into the window and then I realized that it was the same which I had passed earlier in the day. The act of looking in the window brought my mental compass back into adjustment and I was all right for the rest of the day.

Somewhere after leaving the camp for the first time, I became so interested in deer tracks that I lost my directions and turned to the right when I thought that I was going straight ahead. Sometimes a man will get lost by not heeding the instructions of his companions or his guide.

When someone got lost it took him quite long to even figure it out where he is and where he was heading for. Some times you might even forget to use your equipments like the compass, etc. this can often happens when trailing the deer or tracking them. And getting lost may be cost by not paying enough heeds to instructions.

Women's Weight Training: 5 Common Myths and Realities

Weight training and Men have always been the norm since the start of time, women who enter weightlifting or any other strength portraying activity had always been portrayed as masculine and taboo.

However, nowadays weight training is an important part of keeping healthy and a lot of women are practicing it and since it is a male-dominated field most myths are based on the male's anatomy and women think they will get the same results as their male counterparts.

Here are some examples of common myths about women's weight training:

Common Myth #1- Exercise Increases Your Chest Size.

I'm sorry ladies (and gentlemen) but breasts are composed mostly of fatty tissue and fat can never turn into muscle. Thus, it is impossible to increase breast size through weight training but instead, if your body fat women's jackets goes lower than 12 percent your breasts will become smaller.

The Reality Is: Weight training increases the size of your back and this creates the misconception of confusing a bigger "back size" from an increase in cup size. The only way to increase your breast size is to get fatter. It is after all composed of around 90% fat tissue.

Common Myth #2 - Weight lifting will make you bulky and muscular

This is one of those myths that derive from a male's result of weight training. Males and Females have different hormones and women don't and can't produce the same amount of testosterones as males do. Testosterone is one of the main hormones that build up muscle size and without this women have a hard time gaining big muscles.

However, most of the images being shown in television and other sources of media always portray female bodybuilders that are as muscular as men.

The Reality is: Most of these women use anabolic steroids along with other drugs and supplements to grow to their size. Some of them also have good genes and exceptional work ethic that allow them to gain muscle quickly when they workout and lift heavyweights for hours.

They did not get as muscular naturally. It is just physically impossible. Women who do weight training without the use of steroids get the firm and fit cellulite-free looking body that you see in most fitness shows these days.

Common Myth #3 - If You Stop Your Weight Training Your Muscles Turn Into Fat. This is like saying that oil and water can mix. Muscle and fat are two totally different types of tissue. What usually happens is that when people decide to stop their weight training programs they start losing muscle due to inactivity (use it or lose it) and they also usually drop their good balanced diet as well.

Thus, bad eating habits combined with lower metabolism due to inactivity, and lower degrees of muscle mass, give the impression that the person's muscle is slowly turning into fat.

The Reality IS: While the muscle is being lost due to inactivity, fat is accumulated at the same time.

Common Myth #4 - Weight training will make you stiff and musclebound.

This is one of the most common myths, even with guys. Some people they will turn into robotic and lose their natural grace.

But Reality is: Most of those who are stiff musclebound people are already that way before weight lifting and that If anyone performs all the exercises through their full range of motion, flexibility will increase.

Exercises like flyes, stiff-legged dead lifts, dumbbell presses, and chin-ups stretch the muscle in the bottom range of the movement. Therefore, by performing these exercises correctly, your stretching capabilities will increase.

Weight training will not only burn off excess fat but will tone and sculpt making a women's body curvy and sexy. So women if you want to look slimmer, toned and feminine, look into adding weight training as part of your fitness workout.

Brand New Replica Watches For Sale

Everyday a new brand or a new product pops up. How is anyone really supposed to keep up with this kind of stuff? If your one of the 600 million millionaires on earth you probably don't mind keeping up with the trend of buying a new car every month, or a new phone every other week so you can keep up with all the change, but for us normal people (even the ones that have money), we don't want to have to go through those financial pains. And they are pains, boy oh boy. Replica fashion jackets online s are the perfect switch for almost any product. Of course there's a really low percentage of companies that sell replica products and they don't do a very good job at replicating that new Gucci purse or that mink fur coat you always wanted. But for the most part when you see a replica store on or offline you can be sure that it will be either an exact copy and or almost exact copy of the original.

A really popular product for these replica stores to sell are watches. Watches can get pretty darn expensive, cant they? Anywhere from $5,000 on up is pretty drastic. And what if you just happen to buy that brand new Cartier watch, and you have an accident of some sort. Maybe you accidentally break the face on the watch, or your hand gets stuck on the car door of your Ferrari, then what? How much would it cost to get it fixed? I would guess a few thousand dollars. In this sense it would be a good idea to buy a replica of the original watch. Or hey if you really want the original, buy it, but only wear it when you know there's no chance of it being stolen or broken.

These replica watches are pretty close to their originals, and you don't need to take heart pain medicine when you buy one. Let me take a few examples of some really well know watch brand names and compare them to their originals so you can see for yourself just how much money you could be saving. Ill do Armani, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Chanel. These are some really popular names in this industry, if not the most popular minus the Rolex which is missing. By the way these are all prices for men's watches. Which does matter!

Armani -
Retail - $300
Replica - $80

Hermes -
Retail - $1,200
Replica - $80

Louis Vuitton -
Retail - $4,000+
Replica - $83

Chanel -
Retail - $4,500+
Replica - $888

You can tell two things from those stats. One, the replicas are cheaper in price, but that doesn't mean cheapness in quality! And two looking at the Chanel watch, $888 is still a lot but in my mind if someone is selling a replica for $888 compared to the originals $4,500 you know its got to be a pretty awesome watch and a really good quality. Not to say the other ones aren't of good quality, they are too. But also notice the original watch price of all those watches, and then notice Chanel, $4500 and up. That's an expensive watch. I saw one for $10k online that was the exact copy of the one that was online as a replica. That's saying something. Check these prices out online, see for yourself. Compare the prices, compare the photographs. You will see exactly what I mean!

Tips for Applying Mascara for the First Time

Applying mascara is certainly not the easiest thing in the world. From smearing globs of mascara on your carefully-shaded eyelids, to stabbing yourself in the eye with the brush, there are plenty of things that can go wrong for the novice mascara user. Despite these potential obstacles, applying mascara is a relatively straightforward process. Once you get the hang of it, it is easier to avoid common mistakes, and clean up the mess more easily on those occasions when it is necessary.

How to Apply Mascara

These simple steps can help you apply mascara correctly the first time. You can use these tips as a guide the first time you apply mascara, or simply to help you out if you are having application problems for some reason.

Step One: Apply mascara after applying women's coats the rest of your eye make-up. Always make sure your lashes are clean and dry before you start applying mascara.

?

Step Two: Start the application process by curling your lashes. Spending a few dollars on an eyelash curler is definitely a great investment! An eyelash curler can do wonders for the mascara application process. Be sure to always curl before applying mascara, as trying to curl your lashes when they are coated promotes clumping.

To curl your lashes, place the mouthpiece of the curler over your lashes then squeeze the handles together for a count of five. Start from the base of your lashes, and then repeat the process over the length of your lashes till you reach the tips.

?

Step Three: Moving from the inside of your eye to the outside, stroke the mascara wand gently over your upper lashes. Reduce clumping by wiggling the wand slightly as you brush it along the length of your lashes. The wiggling motion not only helps separate your lashes and reduce clumping, it also helps to give your lashes a little more length.

?

Step Four: Use an eyelash comb to separate your lashes if necessary. This should be done before the lashes have dried.

Step Five: Apply mascara lightly to your bottom lashes, if desired. Work from the outside of your eye toward the inside.

?

Step Six: Repeat steps three to five if you want to apply a second coat. Try applying a second coat over the entire lash length, or over the tips only, to see which works best for you.

?

Optional: As an optional final step, carefully reapply your curl with a battery operated heated lash curler, rather than your standard curler. These heated lash curlers are definitely the thing if you want your curl to last all day and all night. If you choose to try this, make sure your lashes are absolutely dry, as curling wet lashes may cause clumping.

?

The following are some other variations you can try to give your lashes a different look:

  • Try some variations on basic black and brown. Colored mascara is back, and the new season's shades look stunning.
  • For a more natural look, apply one or two coats of clear mascara, rather than a color variety. This can work particularly well for blondes who prefer not to use darker colors.
  • For any skin and hair tones, use your normal mascara on your top lashes. Apply clear mascara to your lower lashes to add some length and definition for a subtle daytime look.

Application Tips

  • Make sure to use the right tools. An eyelash curler and lash comb may not seem like essential pieces of equipment, but they make a huge difference to the final result. Curling your lashes helps open up your eye area, and using a lash brush is the best way to ensure your lashes are well-separated and free from clumps.
  • Another tip to help separate your lashes and reduce clumping is to run a clean mascara wand through your lashes after applying mascara. This is a little easier to do than using a lash comb if you are a beginner. You can buy packs of clean wands at most beauty supply stores.
  • Mascara smudges very easily on concealers and oil-based foundations. Dust a little powder under your eyes before applying mascara, to help prevent any smudges forming. If you do get smudges, the powder also makes them easier to remove.
  • Speaking of removing smudges, do this by lightly swiping or rolling a cotton swab over the smudge. If the smudge is resistant to this method, moisten the swab just a little then try again.
  • It is perfectly fine to apply mascara to your upper lashes only. This can be a great look for blondes in particular, and can also help open up small or deep-set eyes.
  • Practice applying mascara with a product that's easy to wash off, like E.L.F. Earth & Water Mascara Duo.

English Cocker Spaniel Puppy And Dog Information

The English Cocker Spaniel can make a great family dog. She has a great temperament, is highly trainable and loves her human family. She needs extensive exercise so either a properly fenced in back yard and or frequent vigorous walks are a necessity. She requires above average grooming care due to her long pendulous ears and her long and silky coat. She generally gets along well with other pets, especially if socialized young. She loves children but may need to calm herself down with them. As a reminder, never leave children unsupervised with a dog or puppy.

*Approximate Adult Size. The approximate adult size (two years old or older) of the male English Cocker Spaniel is 16 to 17 inches to the withers (highest point of the shoulder) and 28 to 34 pounds. The female ranges from 15 to 16 inches to the withers and 26 to 32 pounds.

*Special Health Considerations. Most dog breeds have certain inherited health problems associated with that specific breed and the English Cocker Spaniel is no exception. Be on the look out for ear infections and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (inherited disease of the retina that can cause vision loss and blindness). This disease list is an informative guideline only. Other diseases may also be significant threats, please contact your veterinarian for a complete list.

She should visit the veterinarian several times in the first year for shots, boosters and check up. Then, as an adult, she should visit the veterinarian yearly for shots and check up. As she gets older, six years and on, she should visit the veterinarian twice a year for check ups and shots. Remember; avoid feeding your dog sweets.

*Grooming. The English Cocker Spaniel has a silky, fine, medium length, slightly wavy or flat coat. She will benefit from occasional professional grooming. She should be brushed regularly. Brushing will help her maintain a clean and healthy coat, avoid mats and help you keep a closer eye on her health and strengthen your emotional bond with her. Dry shampoo or bathe as she needs it. Her hair around her feet need attention also.

Her ears should be specifically checked once a week and be kept clean. If you have her professionally groomed, make sure ear cleaning and inspection is part of the package. No water or excess fluid should get in the dogs ears, and do not try to irrigate the ears. Ear cleaning is too complicated and critical to instruct here. Look for hair growing in the ear canal, excess wax, or moisture. If her ears have a discharge, foul odor or she seems to be in distress and you suspect an infection, or tumor, consult your veterinarian.

Her teeth should be brushed at least twice a week with toothpaste and toothbrush designed for dogs. Brushing removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar which can cause cavities (rarely) and periodontal disease. Dog periodontal disease can lead to pain, loss of teeth, bad breath and other serious disease.

Her toenails may need to be examined for growth and clipped regularly. The toenails of the rear feet grow slower than the toenails of the front feet. Generally a guillotine type trimmer is the best for this chore and competent instructions to accomplish this can be found on the net.

*Life Span. The English Cocker Spaniel can live between 12 and 15 years with proper nutrition, medical care and excellent living conditions.

*History. The English Cocker Spaniel comes from comes from Wales and southwest England where they were used for hunting game and retrieving. They were first registered by the American Kennel Association in 1878.

The Bernese Mountain Dog Facts And Info

The Bernese Mountain Dog, or the "Berner", as they are affectionately nicknamed originated in Switzerland as a breed of farm dog. Because of their heavy, long coat, they were able to carry out duties and endure in environments that were cold or in snow covered mountainous areas. Their strong frame which is sturdy by most stands, also helped them to brave any winter elements.

This large "Berner" stands anywhere from twenty-three to twenty seven and a half inches. This large breed can weigh anywhere from seventy to one hundred pounds. Perhaps the most recognizable because of its very unique color pattern, the appendages, ears and head are a straight black; the cheeks, stockings and ghost eyes are tan or rust and the rest of him is usually white. The pattern is pretty common to all Berners and if there are any variations, it is usually in the amount of white. They are also known for their deep brown expressive eyes. It usually translates to stalking, sexual assault, and even rape in some instances. For the male it is simply a case of fulfilling his perverted desire, but it becomes a life shattering incidence for the woman which leaves a permanent scar for the rest of her life. To overcome and avoid such situations, you need to know some basic concepts and elements of womens self defense, so as to save yourself landing in such tricky situations..

Never Ignore Your Surroundings

Criminals do not come with any preconceived notions of their target. Unless they are able to chance upon their target in some remote location, they have to search for them. The most obvious location would be where he can find many people. This helps him in narrowing down to his most likely target. You need, therefore, to always be on the lookout for people taking unusual interest in you. Strangers you come across when you can recall to have met somewhere else, recently. People who look at you more closely, or for longer periods of time. If you feel that somebody is more interested in you than is normal, you should immediately be on the alert, especially if you are alone. It is not that hard to spot such a person as he will have to make more than one pass to accurately assess you, the victim. Such passes would also be necessary for him to try and guess his future mode of attack. Being constantly on alert would surely help you. Be on the look out for the same person to come across more than once, the car which passes you more than once and so on.

People: The Surprise Element

The best safeguard for you, a key concept of womens self defense, is people. Always try to be with people. Try to surround yourself with others. It does not matter that they may not be able to help you physically in case of an attack on you, but attackers are usually timid hearted and avoid company. Others could start shouting, call the police or do any number of activities which may hamper his plans. People are, therefore, the surprise element in womens self defense as the attacker can never predict what people would do in such a situation. The beauty is nobody can predict it for sure. He would most likely avoid attacking you when you are not alone. Your best bet is people. Stay with them, mingle with them and try to be amongst more people. Stay where people can see you. He would refrain doing anything nasty for fear of getting caught later. If he somehow catches you alone, try to reach the nearest house or building which is occupied or you find with people. Do any thing but reach people; homes, offices, complexes, anything where you can find light and people. Always try to use whatever objects you have readily available with you in your self defense. It is very likely to put the attacker on the defensive even if you are not able to cause bodily harm to him. He would also get slightly discouraged as he loses the element of surprise. Sometimes a return attack is totally unexpected and catches him completely by surprise. The most important attribute you need is the never-say-die attitude. You should never give up and be on the look out continuously for an opportunity. You do not know when a c fashion jackets hance or stroke of luck presents you with the opportunity to save yourself from your attacker. The never-say-die attitude may push your body to perform tasks which you do not consider yourself usually capable of. There are many instances where women have been injured but have kept at it ultimately to be saved by passersby or strangers or even police.
